10 Degrees.....10 Miles

You know its bad when the total miles you log on a short run are equal to or greater then the temperature !!!

I was up and out at 4:45 AM today for about 10 miles of speed work. It was cold. I wore my bank robber ski mask to keep my face warm, and successfully dodged two paper delivery cars.

  1. LMAO! I think the mugger masks are definitely a plus in deterring many an old lady walking her dog :P I can't believe you went out in this weather! Awesome!

  2. Thanks Marcy. It was 7 degrees warmer today then it was yesterday, so, I suppose I should be thankful that I was in the gym yesterday. :)

  5. I'm digging your heart rate graphs. What do you use for a wrist unit and software? Thanks.

  6. Bob - You'll be carrying me !!

Scott - Thanks. I use the Garmin Forerunner 305 (although Garmin has just announced the Forerunner 405 and being a gadget freak I may be getting that soon). Garmin has its own software, but, I upload my data to MotionBased.com, which is where I get the HR graphs from. I'll put one up shortly from today's 30+ mile run.

  7. The Forerunner 405 looks cool. I use the Forerunner 301 and Sporttracks, but haven't done much with heart rate tracking in the past. I checked out the heart rate reporting on Sporttracks and was able to graph my run. Thanks for the info...
