I Hate Being Sick

A short run this morning has taken a back seat to a fever, cough and congestion. Two years ago I would have certainly made an effort at training while sick, but, I've since learned that it is better to get rest and recover. With only 8 days until Rocky Raccoon, I decided to sleep in, work from home, and see how I feel later this evening.

I was reading about this new scary movie "Cloverfield" and saw a preview for it last night. Apparently, it is somewhat like "The Blair Witch Project" and is shot from the point of view of five characters using their handheld camera. An article on CNN - Scary Movie Making Viewers Sick - talks about people actually getting sick while watching the movie. One viewer said "I had to get up and leave the theater for nearly 20 minutes just to keep from hurling." Guess I need to go see this flick - but not today !

  2. HA! i read that same cnn.com article this morning. After watching Bob dylan's movie "Don't Look Back" i was very nauseous, it is all done with a handheld camera, very shaky.

Rest and feel better. You gave me great advice Sunday, when i was sick, to rest and it made all the difference. Big picture thinking. RR is more important than anything else right now.

  7. I saw Cloverfield last week and loved it. Others, however, reported that they hated it. Your opinion could go either way.
