2008 Unofficial Rockefeller 100.....K

As a dense fog consumed the North County Trail, Emmy would hear voices coming from deep in the woods......and the 2008 Unofficial Rockefeller 100 Miler became the 2008 Unofficial Rockefeller 100k.

Here are the winners.....

First Place 100k - Meredith

First Place 50k - Maria (congrats on reaching the 50k mark for the first time)

The "I'm Always Late to the Party Award" - Staci

The "Shortest Shorts" Award - Wayne

The "I'm Afraid of My Own Shadow" Award - Emmy (we still love you Emmy)

The Complete Idiot Award - The runner who gave Meredith a hard time for walking while running 100 miles. Wish we got a picture of her.

On training for the 2008 GTR 100 Mile, things are still moving along quite well. Although the streak of consecutive training days came to a halt at 21, we have started a new streak (which is at 2) - consecutive weeks with at least one run of marathon distance. This week also marked the third straight week of over 50 running miles.

Below are a bunch of pictures from yesterdays fun run....enjoy.

  6. awesome photos!! So you blame the whole 100K on me, huh?? I do believe she had made up her mind as we went out:) You were the best race director --think it may be your next calling:) Thanks for all you did to put together the run --the cooler of goodies was remarkable...

  7. Humid is an understatement of the weather yesterday! Emmy wanted me to run the last 40 miles on the highway, so she was in no way responsible for me taking a 100K finish. The pictures are great. Rockefeller park is very nice and scenic, what a pleasure to run in :) Thanks Anthony for everything you did this weekend. :)
