Busy, Busy, Busy

Things have been crazy busy this week.  My office is in the process of moving from Midtown, NYC to Downtown, NYC, which means there are boxes everywhere.  I suppose there is some training benefit to that - I get to practice dodging...quick moves right and left as I walk through the halls.  We are all getting brand new offices with new furniture and stuff, but the big, big, big negative about this move is the extra 20-30 minutes it will add to my commute each way....a total bummer.

Training is going fairly well.  After an hour stairmaster and spin session on Monday, I put in some nice speed training on Tuesday, and an easy 6.5 miler yesterday.  I had planned on another speed session today, but with travel (leaving in about 2 hours) and pacing/crewing duties at Iroquois Trail 100 tomorrow, today was a great day to sleep in.

  2. You are a perfect example of "I'll sleep when I'm dead." Have fun pacing/crewing! Looks like we may actually get to meet at Javelina. That will be cool! Peace!

  3. Sorry to hear that your commute will get longer, but it's cool that you get a new office!

  4. that sucks about your commute. I went from walking to work to about a 30 minute each way commute last year, it sucked, but was good in the long run.

    have a great time pacing!

  5. People have a tendency to discount the impact of moving on training, and even motivation. Sounds like the latter has certainly not been compromised by the office relocation. Good luck with the remainder of the transition...and upcoming marathons.
