Turning It All Around

Thanks to my good friend Kristen, I dragged my lazy ass out of bed to hit the trails at Rockies this morning, and boy was it a good idea.  It was one of those runs that acts as a kick-start back into training, one of those runs where you mentally check each and every body part to make sure the machine is in working order.  Feet work.  Knees work.  Quads work.  Lungs work.  Whew !

I owe Kristen big time for this one.  We had such a blast (except for me getting stung by a giant flying something), and 10+ hilly miles seemed to breeze by.

Now if only the stinking Mets would get some heart and win a $%@##%#$ game !

Best of luck to everyone running the Vermont 50 Mile Race tomorrow, including Wayne, Brad and Susan !

  2. Tony,
Way to turn things around! This morning I headed out with Greg Loomis for ten and a half miles along the Potomac River. It was great running and catching up with an old friend. As it happens, I ran with a 10 pound pack... I wonder why that is? ;-)

  3. I'm so happy that you're back! You're feeling better just in time to enjoy the gorgeousness of autumn running...perfect weather, colors, the nippy air...(well not this weekend, but you know what I mean!) The Mets are pretty nerve-wracking, but still, an exciting way to say good-bye to Shea.

  4. Hey Anthony! Way to go! I was dragging on my long run today, in the pouring rain, and 2 hours in, ran into some friends from my running group and they kicked my ass in gear and really had me pick it up for the last hour. Friends really help turn things around!
