As I continue to upload the 7 or so videos that will make up the final JJ100 video race report, I thought I would share another video that features Bob Gentile. For those of you that do not know Bob (of the infamous blogmyruns.com), he is quite the character. I have the distinct pleasure of becoming fairly close friends with him over the past few years, and have personally witnessed some of his attempts at the 100-mile distance. He always seems to inject the perfect amount of humor into these ultra distance races.
Bob brought it home at JJ100, finishing in 28:35:38, despite suffering thought some painful blisters. So, congratulations Bob on your fantastic finish. Everyone else - enjoy the video below of Bob's post-race visit to the medic tent (DON'T MISS THE LAST 15 SECONDS !! ).

There is no way I am clicking play. I saw those babies on your camera and do not want to see them any larger. ;>)
ReplyDeleteI did click play, and there should be warnings about the content. I have never seen someone with such mangled feet.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I need to see blisters, and what I'm guessing is their draining. Gross.
ReplyDeleteThrough 1:45 I was about to say - man up, I've had worse. But the toe blister took the cake. Good one.
ReplyDeleteugh....Bob ---what you guys went through!!! but it was worth it:))
ReplyDeleteYOu are SO wrong!! LMAO I only watched the first 15 seconds and then realized where it was going . . .I just can't see that LOL
ReplyDeleteBob - congrats and my condolences. Oy vey! Will you do this again?
ReplyDeleteTony - if I EVER express the slightest interests in 100s please shoot me square between the eyes!
ahhhh that is classic, very good stuff... the last 15 secs is all you need to see of that video :-)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed every friggin step & also the Tony P. stomp with 13 miles to go made it even more special- lol
thanks Bro !
Sweeeeeet! :)
ReplyDeleteI left the moment they pulled off the sock. I know what's on that video Tony! I'm eating lunch soon, if lunch is going to happen I have to avoid this video. I can barely tolerate my own blisters.
ReplyDeleteAwesome video-- I can't wait to show my boys! Congratulations Anthony--you did it again. I'm so happy for you, and way to go Bob!!! I hope your feet are functional and pain-free soon!
ReplyDeleteWow. That's naughty! I'll never complain about blisters again!!
ReplyDeleteWe will have to get a race plan together for next year so that we can do a fun 100 together. I've already decided that the only triathlon I am doing is Ironman Arizona - and that's only because I am already signed up!
that is some impressive collateral damage!
