Product Testing with iRunFar.com - Traction Devices

A very special visitor graced the trails at Rockies today.  iRunFar.com's Bryon Powell drove up to tackle the snowy and icy trails, taking the perfect opportunity to do some traction device product testing.  Among the products that I had the opportunity to take for a test spin with Bryon were the STABILicers SPORT by 32North, Inc., the Kahtoola MICROspikes, and the YakTrax Pro.  Of course, you will have to wait for iRunFar.com's traction device product review series to see the results (including videos showing how easy or difficult it is to put on the devices), but if you can't wait you can always check out my review of the STABILicers Sport from December, 2007.

We also managed to get nearly 16 miles of running in.  The slideshow below contains a few shots from our trek.

  1. What an absolutely beautiful area you run in! Even if I was busting my ass on the ice (which I've done before), it would still be gorgeous! Lucky dog!
