Training Update

It has been a busy week at work and around the house as the holidays are quickly approaching.  The outside lights are all up, and we got our tree last weekend, but it still sits bare in the entry-way.  The weather is totally miserable - it is getting colder and colder, and the forecasts call for some snow Saturday night into Sunday.  It was 25 degrees this morning when I hit the roads.

I am 100% committed to applying for Badwater in 2009.  That committment, coupled with the unaticipated addition of Rocky Raccoon 100 to next year's racing menu, means that after two tremendously light weeks, it is time to get back into training.  So far this week I have put in 3 nice paced training runs, including today's interval workout (8 x 400m sprints), and 2 days of cross training.  I have also started to get back into weight training.  Tomorrow I should be meeting Peter and Wayne on the trails for a short 15 miler - hopefully, ahead of the snow!

  2. Snow, what's that?

Dude, Badwater...THAT ROCKS! Let me know if I can help with anything. THe 100 degree temps start in May here, so you can pitch a tent in my back yard and train at noon with a tire strapped to your back. What do you think about that? :)

  7. I'm doing a train-to-train tomorrow, but let me know what you're up to the 13th. There will be some folk doing 50K or so up in the Gunks that Saturday. That'll get you going RR-wise.
