2009 Badwater Training : Hills, Hills, Hills

Back to Bear Mountain today for more road hill work.  The rain just won't let up here on the East coast, and today was no exception.  The 6 AM start was filled with rain and fog. But, it did provide some great photo ops (click on the pics for great views).....

 




  
   

On Saturday I did my best to keep up with Umstead winner Dave James at Rockefeller Park.  We chatted a lot about the Western States Endurance Run (Saturday, June 27) and how deep the field is.  Dave will be competing against the best of the best in this 100-mile race that is filled with some legends of ultra running.  GOOD LUCK DAVE !!!

    Next time you go, let me know if you're interested in having someone to huff it up bear mountain with you. I've always been interested in doing repeats there, it's right in my backyard, and I don't mind if you dust me. (:

  6. That looks cold! Come to Austin. It was 107 yesterday. Thankfully, I'm finally heat acclimated, so the running is good.
