I'm off to Arizona and the Javelina Jundred 100 Mile Endurance Run, my 4th and final 100+ miler of 2009. It also happens to be my final race of the year, after deciding that running the Stone Cat 50 Mile a mere 6 days after JJ100 would not be wise. 2009 Umstead 100 Mile winner Dave James and I are on a flight early tomorrow AM to Phoenix, where we will meet up with Rick Gaston. I am extremely lucky to have Rick as a pacer for the third time. He paced me at JJ100 last year, and at Rocky Raccoon 100 (where he paced me to my first sub-24 hour finish). I can't say enough about Rick and am looking forward to a good ass whooping this weekend.
There are many, many talented ultrarunners participating this year. You can follow along online at the 2009 Webcast.
