Running On Empty New York Book Launch Party

I had the priviledge of attending the official New York City launch event for Marshall Ulrich's book, Running on Empty - An Ultramarathoner's Story of Love, Loss, and a Record-Setting Run Across America at the Super Runners Shop in Times Square.  It was quite an event, with plenty of folks from the running and non-running community attending.  A segment of the Running America documentary was played and followed by a slide-show presentation given by Marshall.  Earlier in the day, despite rainy weather, Marshall hosted a short training run in Central Park (two times around the lower 1.7 mile loop of the park).

About 15-20 of those that attended the launch event followed it up with a trip to my favorite watering hole in New York City, BXL Cafe for some food and drinks.  Below are a few pictures from the run, launch event and post-launch event festivities courtesy of Frank Colella and Chip Tilden.
