Total Miles This Week – 93.90
Total Miles Prior week – 65.50
Total Miles This Month – 233.40
Total Miles This Year – 1,404.60
30-Day Rolling Total – 341.50
It turned out to be a fantastic training week, with plenty of “time on your feet” miles. 21 hours, 37 minutes and 42 seconds of time to be exact. The best part, however, was getting to spend a ton of time with Todd Jennings and his crew and supporters as he made his way to the end of a 315-mile journey that started at Lake Tear of the Clouds. His Hudson River Run 2012 raised funds for Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, a group whose mission is to preserve and protect the Hudson River for the benefit of its eco-system and human communities while creating new environmental leaders for a sustainable future.
Congratulations to Todd and his crew on an amazing accomplishment and a fantastic fundraising effort.

10:20 AM – 29.20 miles in 6:54:22 (14:09 pace) – Todd Jennings Hudson River Run 2012 Day 7. It was a long, long, hot day, but one that was a blast. Today we joined Todd Jennings for day #7 of his 9 day, 315-mile run of the Hudson River to bring attention to the need for clean water - and in particular, clean rivers. Todd’s run began at Lake Tear of the Clouds, on the face of Mt. Marcy (New York’s highest peak), and is to finish on Sunday at The Battery in New York City. The endeavor is a fundraiser for Hudson River Sloop Clearwater.

6:28 AM – 4.00 miles in 38:55 (9:43 pace). The plan is to join Todd Jennings again tomorrow for the final day of his Hudson River Run 2012, approximately 50k. With that in mind, today was a short day.

7:40 AM – 31.70 miles in 9:23:19 (17:57 pace). Todd Jennings Hudson River Run 2012 Day 9. If there is value in “time on your feet” on roads on a hot summer day in direct sun, today was that day. It was the last day of Todd Jennings 315-mile run of the Hudson River, from Nyack to Battery Park in New York City. He was met by a slew of runners for the final 5-7 miles of the run. A huge success, and fantastic fundraising for Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, Inc. There was also a rather large bike event taking place, the Gran Fondo New York - a 110-mile that started at the George Washington Bridge and followed the Hudson River upstream.
